Easter Sunday March 31, 2024

Why do we hide eggs at Easter?  Early Christians adapted these beliefs, making the egg a symbol of the resurrection which held associations with Spring and new life, the empty shell a metaphor for Jesus' tomb.

As part of the legend, the Easter Bunny carries colored eggs in its basket, as well as candy, and sometimes toys, to the homes of children.  From chocolate confections to money-filled plastic shells to colorful, hand-decorated hard-boiled eggs, the Easter Bunny (and his parental helpers) hide eggs all around.  Well... the rabbit didn't hide any chocolate here, but he did leave plenty of bath bomb eggs!!
